consider drinking tea like taking your vitamins and hydrating your bod at the same time… tea not only replaces fluids but also is shown to have up to 10x the amount of antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables. need we say more?

what you need to know…

real deal tea is derived from a particular plant called camellia sinensis and comes in only 4 varieties: green, black, white, and oolong. anything else is an infusion of a different plant and considered an ‘herbal tea’. while all 4 teas are derived from the same plant, the differences are simply due to how the leaves are processed and oxidized.

tea breakdown…

green: when buying green tea, be sure to get ‘matcha green’. while it’s a little pricier, one cup of matcha green tea is equal in antioxidants to 10 cups of regular brewed green tea. mix 1 tsp matcha powder with warm water or add ice, almond milk and honey in a blender.

black: unlike green and white tea, black tea is fully fermented and oxidized. this process is what gives it its unique color and flavor. it has the highest amount of caffeine but least amount of antioxidants.

white: undergoes the least amount of processing and is not oxidized. because of this, it retains the highest amount antioxidants but has very little flavor, color or caffeine.
