HOP pregnancy approved treatments per our OBGYN

whether you're a first timer like us or a veteran, every mama-to-be shares the same question: "what can i do for my skin?!" trust us, we know how limiting it is out there. as if stripping away margaritas and sushi wasn't enough, we're also told we can't do any treatments for our skin --not because it's backed by science, but because no one wants the liability-- which made us want to do our own due diligence

we met with our respective OBGYN's to discuss what they feel comfortable with us doing while pregnant, and although you should absolutely consult with your own doctor as everyone's pregnancy is different, here is what we'll be doing...

*all of the below are subject to clearance from your OBGYN prior to treatment if you're pregnant or breastfeeding*

BBL PHOTOFACIALa skin treatment that uses light-based technology to create a more even complexion by targeting multiple skin conditions such as brown spots (sun damage, age spots, liver spots, freckles), redness (rosacea and broken capillaries) and acne. the light energy absorbed by the targeted areas stimulates your cells to regenerate new collagen, producing younger-looking skin that’s even in tone & textureMICRONEEDLINGmicroneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is recognized as one of the most beneficial anti-aging and skin rejuvenation treatments out there. it stimulates your skin’s natural ability to heal itself, giving anyone with acne scars, stretch marks, large pores, and an uneven complexion, a glimmer of hope. the pen-like device is tipped with single-use fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin (after using numbing cream, of course). these controlled micro-injuries generate new collagen production and create channels for active ingredients to be delivered into the skinPRPPRP is one of the most natural, anti-aging treatments available because it uses your own platelet-rich plasma to help heal tissue and stimulate collagen production. a small amount of blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the red blood cells, which is then injected into specific areas to naturally plump, smooth and tighten the skin. you can also take your microneedling results to the next level by combining it with your own PRP. when used topically with microneedling, the effect is even more powerful, helping you achieve greater, quicker and more noticeable resultsFACIALthe only ingredient we're steering clear from while pregnant is retinol. aside from that, everything in our routine, including exfoliating acids, is the same. whenever our skin is in need of a major reset, our facial x skintype is our first turn. we rely heavily on the lymphatic drainage massage to help combat puffiness and bloating, and depending on what issue we're dealing with at the time, each product used is specifically tailored to target and treat your concerns
