a day off with Ry

there's nothing more precious or valuable than your time. when it comes to my days-off, there's nothing i love more than a little self-pampering. i can't stress enough the importance of taking time out to focus on yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. after all, you're your own biggest investment, so don't cut corners! invest in your wellbeing and your body and mind will thank you.

here's how i like to spend my free-time...

7AM: head to the kitchen to make my go-to smoothie (1 banana, handful of spinach, 1/2 cup wild blueberries, touch of agave, ice, and 1 cup of almond milk)8AM: off to the gym for cardio and weights. the biggest improvement I've seen in my body has come from lifting. i started gradually pushing myself to lift heavier weights with lower reps and the results were almost instantaneous. your body stops building muscle at 50, so make sure you are building it now in preparation for later!morning shower: i love to do a moroccan oil hair mask on my days off as well as a good body scrub. i pamper my skin when i get out with a rich body oil and seal it all in with moisturizer.face-time: i like to exfoliate my face 1x/wk and i always take time to do a snail sheet mask and eye mask on days off. nothing gives my skin a quicker pick-me-up glow like they do.

the rest of my day is TBD... filled with errands, running around town, etc.

nighttime: there's nothing better than using my oil diffuser at night. the smell of lavender essential oil takes your sleeping game to a whole new level. i also love taking time to get in a good stretch before i crawl into bed... here's one of the vids i like to usehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7SN-d4qXx0[show_shopthepost_widget id="2599280"]
